The ministries of Oak Park Baptist Church exist for two main purposes... to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost and to make disciples! These are acts of obedience on our part as believers and are a fulfillment of the Great Commission given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. These obedient actions on our behalf bring glory to God and in turn reveals the love of God to the world around us. Regardless of the ministry, our goal and focus is always to see others come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and for them to become faithful disciples who seek to bring others to that same saving knowledge in Christ.

 

Upcoming Ministry Opportunities

Adult Reading and Writing Classes(ARW): Oak Park Baptist Church will begin teaching adult reading and writing classes for those in our community who are having difficulties in these areas. If you or anyone you know is in need of these services, please contact our church office at (504) 392-1818 or via email at office@oakparkbc.com for information regarding class times.  Check back here beginning in March for a listing of class times.

ESL: English as a Second Language: Oak Park Baptist Church will also begin lessons to assist those in our community who wish to pursue a greater understanding of English. Again, if you know of someone who is a non-Native speaker who would like to learn to become more proficient in English, please contact us at our church office at (504) 392-1818 or via email at oakpark@oakparkbc.com. ESL classes will not begin until April 2012
